Overview

  • A cost-effective and powerful device to send and receive internet live streams with high quality.
  • Transmit and encode RTMP: supports iptv.nak.org and all other RTPM servers (e.g., Youtube, Facebook, skipa.tv)
  • Receive and decode HLS
  • Video resolutions:
    • Input up to 1920x1080@25fps automated scaling to 720p25 for streaming (planned 1080p60 see Roadmap
    • Receive up to 1080p25 (4k planned see Roadmap)
  • Codecs: H.264 video + AAC audio
  • Supported video inputs: HDMI or CVBS, depending on chosen video grabber
  • Video outputs: HDMI (native) or CVBS (with converter)
  • Audio inputs: HDMI or analog, depending on chosen video grabber or sound card
  • Supported audio outputs: HDMI and analog
  • Connectivity: Wifi and wired LAN
  • Currently used hardware: Raspberry PI 4B; planned: custom hardware for an extended feature set see Roadmap)
  • Software: Free and Open Source, based on Linux+GStreamer+Python
  • Overlay text and images supported
  • Controlled via a simple web app
  • Remote control and automation via REST API; already deeply integrated into the iptv.nak.org portal.
